Welcome to our June newsletter!
First up, we’re excited to introduce YACAH’s new YouTube playlist, “Rollin’ with the Punches.” This disability-inspired playlist features an eclectic mix of inspirational and motivational stories, advancements in assistive technologies, and some humour.
Our June Calendar highlights important upcoming dates, including the King’s Birthday public holiday, Reconciliation Day, and international observances such as Autistic Pride Day and Global Beatles Day.
In our “Keeping up with the NDIS” section, we provide information on the new Supported Decision-Making Hub, created by the NDIS in collaboration with Inclusion Australia and the Department of Social Services (DSS). We also discuss Labor’s Election Victory and its implications for the NDIS and individuals with disabilities and announce the New Ministers for NDIS.
